Life isn't static, so your strategy shouldn't be either. We provide the adaptive, ongoing guidance you need to feel confident through every season of your life.

Comprehensive Financial Planning

The Philosophy: Planning in Motion
Most people wait for life to get "loud"—a new baby, a career shift, or the countdown to retirement—to think about their finances. At Modern Cents, we believe the most impactful planning happens during the "quiet" moments in between.
Beyond the "One-and-Done" Report
We’ve evolved past static spreadsheets. We practice Adaptive Financial Planning: a living, breathing partnership designed to stay in flow with your life. While you’re focused on the day-to-day, we’re behind the scenes optimizing your path so you never lose momentum.
Finance Without the Friction
Planning should be empowering, not intimidating. We meet you exactly where you are today—no complex jargon, no judgment, and no "minimum" requirements to start. We’re here to turn financial stress into financial literacy, giving you the tools to lead your wealth with confidence.
How it Works: The Adaptive Planning Roadmap
Real change is a process, not an event. We’ve structured our approach into five high-impact phases
to build and maintain a rock-solid financial core.
Phase 1: The Discovery Audit
We clear the fog. By reviewing your current state, financial goals and money biases in a judgment-free space, we identify immediate opportunities and align our language with your vision.
Phase 2: Wealth Optimization
We build the path. From day-to-day cash flow and debt management to tax-efficient savings and retirement scenarios, we ensure every dollar is working as hard as you do.
Phase 3: The Risk Shield
We safeguard the journey. We perform a meticulous analysis of your insurance and estate needs, ensuring your legacy is protected against life’s "what-ifs."
Phase 4: Active Implementation
We realize the plan. Through our interactive portal, we provide ongoing support, clear next steps, and detailed deliverables to ensure every strategy is put into motion.
Phase 5: The Continuity Phase (Year 2 and Beyond)
Once your foundation is set, we shift into a permanent rhythm of stewardship. You don't "finish" a plan; you live it. This assures that whenever life shifts—expectedly or unexpectedly—your strategy continues to evolve. Two review meetings each year ensures we continue to review and set goals, revisit existing strategies, optimize for tax, and adapt to your ever changing life curveballs.
Our partnership is always accessible. Once your comprehensive planning is in motion, we are your first call for any financial question, whether it's a scheduled check-in or a sudden life shift that requires a steady hand.
Investing in Your Long-Term Success
Our pricing structure reflects the depth of our commitment to your financial future. We invest heavily in your foundational year to ensure you have a strategy that lasts a lifetime.

Ongoing Monthly Cost: $250-$330/month*, complexity dependent. Monthly costs commence 30 days after the start of our engagement.
*Additional costs apply for complexity (rental properties, corporations, etc.) Unique factors in your financial picture may lead to a potential range of complexity.
The Commitment: Real change requires consistency. To ensure your strategies have the time to take root and produce results, we require a minimum 12-month commitment for all new partnerships.
Why does Financial Planning cost what it costs?
Based on research provided by the illustrious Michael Kitces:
35 hours
Time Commitment
The approximate amount of time a planner will spend per year per client.
$8,750
Annualized Average Cost
At an hourly rate of $250, this is the average annual cost per client.
Our planners are 'high touch' - meaning we only take on a limited number of clients at a time to ensure we can provide the highest value and quality of service to our clients. This allows us the time to spend on each client that they deserve.
